Here are some helpful steps for how to register with the website for the first time!
Click “Member Login” from the top menu. It looks like this:
Now you’ll see a page that looks like the image below. Click “Register” to create a username.
NOTE: The VolunteerHub site and this site do not share information, so you need to register with this site, too. You CAN create the same username as you use for VolunteerHub; that might be a nice way to only remember one username and password!
Create a one-word username. You might choose to use your first name and last name initial, or another username you’ll remember. Enter the email address you check regularly.
Then click “Next.”
You’ll see this message letting you know that you will receive an email confirming your new username.
Check the email account you entered for a confirmation email. (If you don’t see it, wait a few minutes; sometimes it can take up to 7 or 8 minutes to arrive. Or, check your Spam folder just in case.)
Your email will look like this, from [The Junior League of Greensboro Sites]:
Copy your password (don’t worry, you can change it from this randomly generated one later!), and click “Log in”.
Every new website registration is approved by Libby Schinnow (2017–2018 Website Coordinator). Please allow 1-2 days before your registration is approved, then click the link that was in your email and use your username and temporary password.
If you click the link, you’ll be taken back to the site and you may see this message. If you try to log in with your password, you won’t be able to until approval has been given. Give it a day or two then log in. We use this approval process to protect the security of our Members Only documents; thank you for understanding!
After approval, log in by going to “Members Only” and entering your username and password.
How do you know if you are in? Check the black bar at the top of the screen. On the right, you’ll see “Howdy” and your username. It knows who you are! You are now registered and can access items in the Members Only section.
Create a directory entry by hovering over that “Howdy” message, then clicking “Add My Directory Entry.”
All of this information is voluntary. It is only visible to members of the Junior League of Greensboro who have registered with the website. You can choose what you want to share.
Remember to click your membership status of Active, Provisional, or Sustainer under Categories. When you’re finished, click “Add Entry.”
You’ll know it worked if you see this message at the top:
Let’s make your password something easier to remember. Hover over your “Howdy, username” again. Click “Edit My Profile.”
Scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see “New Password” and “Repeat New Password.” Put in your new password in both of those, then click “Update.”
To go back to the site, you can go back to juniorleagueofgreensboro.org or hover over the site title. Click “Visit Site.”
