At the 2018 Annual Meeting, the Junior League of Greensboro, North Carolina, Inc. announced the recipient of the annual President’s Award winner as Randall Ariail.
The President’s Award is awarded to one active member for going above and beyond normal League voluntarism, either in her given placement or any other area of service within our League. Each year, the executive committee receives nominations and votes for one member to receive the award.
As with past Bargain Box Chairs, Randall has worked tirelessly in her position, spending countless hours in the store both during store hours and on evenings and weekends. She has handled all successes and setbacks with a smile. Her tenacious attitude is infectious, and she is hopeful in times of challenge.
Our Finance Vice President, Teresa Marie Russell, said, “Randall has such an amazing work ethic and always has the ‘big picture’ in mind. I’ve enjoyed working with her and have been continuously in awe of her commitment to the Bargain Box and the League. The only way she could give more is if hours were added to the day. “
When the Bargain Box Task Force was created last summer, Randall jumped right in, attending the meetings and working on the marketing subcommittee. Many would feel the pressure of adding one more responsibility to an already busy schedule, but Randall had no complaints about doing more.
Starting last summer when the League received a large donation of items from Schiffman’s to last month with a large donation from Buckhead Betties, Randall has nurtured relationships with local stores for new merchandise to sell in the Bargain Box—upholding a key element of our brand as the best high-quality thrift store in Greensboro.
Our sustainer president, Ashley Staton Scott, had this to say about Randall: “Randall’s heartfelt passion for the Bargain Box this year has been unparalleled! She has left no stone unturned in her dedication to its success!”
